2011 Arterberry Maresh - Dundee Hills Pinot Noir

Sending email...
Jim Arterberry Maresh (pronounced 'marsh') comes from an established family of fruit growers and winemakers, who also happened to be one of the first to produce wine in Willamette's Dundee Hills. Jim absorbed everything he needed to know about making vino just by growing up among the vines. With no formal wine education, he relies on instincts and practical experience in crafting award-winning Chard and Pinot, the only two varietals he works with. Maresh wines can get quite expensive, so we were really excited to get a whole bunch of this 2011 Dundee Pinot and offer it at a great price. Dundee is a blend of late-picked fruit from 6 vineyards (Maresh, Juliard, Weber, Ana, Winderlea, and Gehrts) in a fantastic vintage.
Flavor Profile: Medium-bodied, dry. Bright, crisp, and fruity with a clear profile of cranberry, cassis, cherries, and blackberries. The nose and finish both express lovely floral notes that develop as the wine aerates. This wine is all about unobstructed Pinot fruit which is not bogged down by oak. Pair with roast chicken, cheeses, roast pork, and lean cuts of beef and lamb.
